At Thomas Family Dentistry we have been providing orthodontic care to both children and adults for over twenty five years. We use state-of-the-art technology, like Invisalign, to help you and your family have the beautiful smiles you desire!

Invisalign:

Invisalign uses clear aligners (retainers) to move and straighten your teeth. Because the retainers are clear, they are virtually invisible to others. No longer will you need to have wire braces on your teeth. No longer will there be a burdensome cleaning process. Wire braces are all things of the past!

The Process:

First an impression is made of your teeth. It is sent to Invisalign who then sends Thomas Family Dentistry an electronic representation of the proposed treatment, how long it will take, and what your teeth will look like once the process is completed. [See Demo Video Clip (6MB) of an example.] Once the course of treatment is agreed upon by you, and your dentist the process of adjusting and straightening your teeth begins!

The Benefits of Invisalign:

The Aligner ["retainer"] is removable for good hygiene. You can brush and floss normally, which can help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

You can still eat what you want. Because the "Aligners" (retainers) are removable you don't have to worry about what you eat.

There is no metal to irritate your mouth. Some orthodontic appliances, like braces, can cause temporary gum inflammation. With Invisalign there is a decreased risk of lost braces, broken wires, or allergies to metal.

Cleanings are quicker and easier than will traditional orthodontics.

Your gum health may improve. Research has shown that periodontal tissue health may improve with the use of Invisalign Aligners during your orthodontic treatment.¹
